I must go back to my previous post about the rumoured fight between Aleksander Emelianenko and Gilbert Yvel. I have read some opinions of people who say that Gilbert Yvel is "a can". Obviously these people are new to Mixed Martial Arts. These people really have to look at his record (which is 31-11-1), notice that 27 of his 31 wins came by (T)KO and that a few years ago he won Cheick Kongo (as well as many other well-known fighters). Watching this Gilbert Yvel highlight also helps.
To see what kind of fighter Aleksander Emelianenko is, you really only have to look at his fight against Ricardo Marales.
As you can easily see, Aleksander is excellent striker, with an extraordinary power and sense of distance. He is also accomplished Sambo-champion, so his ground skill is also at a high level.
Aleksander Emelianenko and Gilbert Yvel make an excellent match in sense of entertainment. So if this fight will come true, we can expect very excitement match.
