M-1 Global, Fedor Emelianenko fighting information

Russian MMA just received a confirmation from the M-1 organization camp about the press-conference.

The following information was revealed to us.

  • The press-conference will indeed be in New York, USA, at 17:30 (5.30pm) local time.
  • This press-conference will announce the birth of a new Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization which will be called M-1 Global.
  • Press-conference will have present all the players of a new alliance. They will include the representatives of a few big corporations and a MMA-teams from different countries.
  • Vadim Finkelstein, the president of a Russian fighting league "Mixfight M-1" and an owner of a Red Devil Sports Club, as well as a World Pride Champion and a number one Heavyweight fighter in the world (according to the majority of such ratings) Fedor Emelianenko will be attending this conference.
  • The representatives of a major sports TV-channels and traditional press will as well be there.
  • The press-conference will be shown on Internet in recording from 19.00-20.00 (7pm - 8pm) of a local time - that is one and a half hour from the beginning of the conference.
  • The conference will reveal the information about the structure and the rules of a new M-1 Global organization. The information about the participating fighters will also be told, as well as about the organization's first tournament (in the meaning of "an event", not as a 4-32 fighter tournament where there can be only one winner).
  • Fedor will be fighting in a tournament, which will be held in the United States in the middle of February 2008. This has been given as a preliminary information and it contradicts previous information we got from Fedor Emelianenko himself, that he will be fighting in December.

Update: For sceptics. The official web site of the M-1 organization has just revealed the same information as you can read above. They only did it many hours later that I did. Do a simple math about credibility of this news blog.
