According to Aleksander Emelianenko's official web site, his next fight will be on April 11th in Chicago, which means that he will be fighting in an event organized by M-1 Global. Aleksander's opponent is not fixed yet and the negotiations are going on at the moment. His attendance wasn't unexpected, but the big news is that according to the same web page, his opponent will probably be Josh Barnett (top5 or top10 heavyweight by most rankings)! Is that cool or what?!
Aleksander Emelianenko and Josh Barnett have fought each other in May 2006. After one 10 min round Aleksander gassed and Barnett submitted him at 1:57 of the second round. Now, it seems that Aleksander Emelianenko wants his revenge...
One question arises: if Aleksander gets such a good opponent as Josh Barnett, who will Fedor Emelianenko get? Could it really be Andrei Arlovski like the recent rumors are claiming?

If Arlovski or Barnett end up fighting either of the Emelianenko's it will be brilliant. While i'd prefer Barnett vs Fedor and Arlovski vs Aleksander any combination of these fighters should be exciting! Here's hoping it all works out!
Remember that Arlovski info was just a rumor... I think there are bigger chances of Fedor fighting Monson or Rothwell. At least I very much doubt that Arlovski will be able to fight already in April after his fight in February. Fedor vs Arlovski might happen in summer, imho.
