According to Brazilian tatame.com.br, Antonio "Samuray" Mendes has signed a contract with the M-1 Global MMA organization.
Antonio is a Brazilian Light Heavyweight Thai Boxing/Vale Tudo fighter, currently living in Europe. He has a record of 14-2-0 with his last lost being in the beginning of 2004. Antonio Mendes's last fight was on July 21st, 2007 in the event organized by the Vadim Finkelstein's Russian M-1 organization (which became a base for the M-1 Global promotion), where he won Russian Kirill Sidelnikov. Actually he was clearly losing the fight, but Sidelnikov received a cut, so the fight had to be stopped.
