Fedor arrived in Russia; trainer Vladimir Voronov speaking

Mixfight.ru met Fedor Emelianenko at the Moscow airport.

Due to the lack of time Fedor wouldn't provide us with detailed interview. Still we could talk to his trainer, Vladimir Voronov.

He said that Roman Zentsov's loss was natural as he wouldn't join the whole team to train to the fullest and he was preparing for another opponent.

Moreover Voronov revealed that Choi's punches were not that dangerous and the possibility of stand-up fight was there due to Fedor's speed advantage. As strikes' exchange could probably lead to arm injury, it was decided that Fedor would transfer Choi to the canvas and try to finish the bout via submission. Everything went as planned. Voronov stressed Fedor had spent as much time working on striking technique as on wrestling.

Fedor is expected to participate in the first official M-1 Global event in the end of February or March, which is scheduled to take place in the USA. So will probably Roman Zentsov. Hopefully, he'll win this time!
