International Fight League (IFL) reported that IFL light heavyweight champion Vladimir Matyushenko will defend his title against Jamal Patterson in April in East Rutherford, New Jersey (USA).
Other title fights are scheduled between featherweight champion Wagnney Fabiano and Shad Lierley as well as welterweight title-holder Jay Hieron and Mark Miller.
Vladimir Matyushenko is an excellent Belorussian MMA fighter (20-3). His last losses were to Tito Ortiz in 2001 and Andrei Arlovski in 2003. He hasn't lost since his fight with Arlovski.
His notable wins include Pedro Rizzo and an impressive dominating performance over Brazilian standout Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Most recently, Matyushenko defeated Alex Schoenauer via unanimous decision to become the first ever light heavyweight champion in the IFL.
