According to the UFC home page, Andrei Arlovski will be fighting on UFC 82 against Jake O'Brien. Now we can finally conclude that the rumor about Andrei's new opponent wasn't true.
Another thing is that this fight won't be in a main card! Can you imagine - the former UFC Heavyweight Champion may not even be broadcasted on PPV! The situation with the contract must be really screwed up for UFC to do something like this to one of their superstars...

Arlovski got screwed, but perhaps this means we will see him in a less controlling organization in the near future. I think in the long run this will be better for Arlovski and better for MMA.
I must agree with you.
Talk about burying Arvloski, a former champion. This fight might not even be televised. Fight sport isn't a clean sport, thats always been the case. And it will not change, but this is crazy.
UFC's probably given up on keeping Arvloski and decided to make him as unappealing as possible
Or they are playing just in case. It's the way to pressure Arlovski. If they won't come to the agreement - UFC won't televise his fight. If they will - the fight will be shown.
