- Aleksander Kosarev vs. Stanislav Shushko. Aleksander Kosarev (red jacket) is from the same club as Fedor (city of Belgorod) and he also fought in the same weight category (absolute weight). It was his first experience in a competition of this level, but he managed to do pretty well. He won the first bout by knock-out. In his second fight, he faced Stanislav Shushko. He was winning the fight with the points 5-0, but then made a mistake and fell down, which caused (clear victory comes if the opponent fell down completely on his back after a strike) a victory for Shushko, who faced Fedor Emelianenko in the final. Aleksander Kosarev had two more fights that day: first was won by another knock-out and in the second one, the opponent couldn't participate because of the injury. Thus Aleksander Kosarev won bronze! An excellent result for the debutant!
