Changes and additional info in Yamma Pit Fighting first event

Some new information has flown about the first YAMMA Pit Fighting event, which will be held on 11th April in Atlantic City, N.J., USA.

First of all, the organization has updated its website and posted some photos, videos, news, fighters' profiles and so forth. They also had more explanations about their supposedly "revolutionary" surface. This is what they had to say.

The Yamma is a circular pit, shaped almost like a bowl, with a circular flat bottom that rises up around the edge. In this ring, if a fighter is pushed backwards towards the fence, he moves up the lip, gaining both a height and leverage advantage over his opponent. From this position, the fighter on the lip can use gravity and leverage to reverse his opponent and take the fight back into the center without a break in the action.
I guess we have to see it ourselves to realize what it looks like and how well it works in reality...

Secondly, there has been some troubles with the opponents for Oleg "The Russian Bear" Taktarov (15-5-2). As you remember, he was initially supposed to fight Don "The Predator" Frye (19-6-1). Then Don Frye was injured (shoulder) and the search for a new opponent began. Finally they found the MMA veteran Patrick Smith (14-13) who agreed to fight Taktarov. Too bad, the very next day after the announcement, Patrick Smith was arrested by police and will spend some time in jail in Texas. He tried to avoid the arrest for having illegal drugs (medicine) by speeding up to 130 mph (210km/h), but was unsuccessful in his efforts and was caught. Therefore there was an obvious need for a new opponent once again. Now Yamma Pit Fighting is telling us that this new opponent is Mark "The Titan" Kerr (15-6), the MMA legend himself, whose last fight was a few days ago on 29th March, where he won Chuck Huus in the first round via Submission (Keylock). I guess only time will tell if this is the final composition...

Gary Goodridge (23-16-1) is still supposed to fight Eric "Butterbean" Esch (10-5-1). Goodridge's last fight was also only a few days ago when he fought Korean Mu Bae Choi. Won't spoil the result - you can watch it below.
